Compass Partners is an organization dedicated to the effective teaching of social entrepreneurship at the college level. We inspire, enable, and sustain social entrepreneurs through a unique education model.
So, what do we do?
We Cultivate Passion
We are in love with social entrepreneurship, and we want to inspire everyone who comes through our program to feel the same. We require no business knowledge to join our community, and no previous experience in running a business. What we do require is that everyone who joins our community is passionate and in love with life. By connecting a community of students who are insanely passionate about their interests with entrepreneurs who are equally passionate about changing the world, we create communities that are focused on changing the world.
We Invest in the Student
The number one purpose of our program is for students to have a revolutionary, life-changing experience during every year of our program. We devote all of our resources towards this goal. Don’t take our word for it, read our testimonials from current and previous Compass members.
We Emphasize Real, Practical Education
We enable students to be social entrepreneurs by giving them the practical tools they need to succeed. All of our students not only consult with businesses and learn from business leaders, they run and manage student businesses themselves. On top of giving them the training in running their own venture, and working with many more, we connect them with successful social entrepreneurs in their community. Through student and external mentorship, skills-focused speakers and a hands-on education, we give students the skills they need to become social entrepreneurs themselves.
We Guide Students Every Step of the Way
Students start our program oftentimes not knowing what social entrepreneurship really is, much less how to start a business. Our seminars and fellowship are just the beginning. A core tenant of our work is mentorship and we apply one-on-one mentorship systems to ensure that whatever questions or guidance anyone in any level of our organization needs, it will be answered.
We Create a Support Network
Imagine a community that is composed of well-trained, amazing students. Give each of those students a business. Now imagine those students reaching out and consulting other student run businesses. Imagine them connecting with all the social entrepreneurs in their area. Year after year, students come in, and are mentored by the students that came before them. The connections multiply.
Our students are placed in front of CEOs, in front of entrepreneurs, in front of management consultants. They are put in front of people who are following their dreams and changing the world. Every day, they are inspired together, connected by an ever-evolving community.
